A mid century teak set of drawers, made by British firm Remploy in the 1960s-1970s for use on MOD property.
Ex military furniture is often well made, stylish and interesting, and this is no exception. This set of drawers is seriously heavy duty, with five large compartments, making it perfect for bedroom storage. It was likely designed for use in bedrooms on military estates and were designed to be robust and hold large, bulky clothing.
The golden teak-like hardwood is full of patina as you can expect, but still glows after 50 years of use. The top has its original patterned formica which is a nice contrast. It’s finished off with simple metal pull handles, very modernist in style.
It sits on a plinth, although for an additional £60 we’ll sit it on some legs for you.
The price also includes free shipping to most mainland UK locations as standard.
