A mid century teak cabinet on castors, believed to be made by Meredew furniture in the late 1960s.
This cute cabinet features an unusual birch veneered interior for a very Scandinavian look. Meredew used Birch wood to line the interiors of some products in the late 1960s, and the aesthetic (including handles) is reminscent of some of the work of designer Robert Heritage in the late 60s.
It would have originally been a record cabinet, however the internal dividers have been removed transforming it into a multi purpose unit. It has a stylish base consisting of solid afromosia teak legs and a slatted magazine shelf, mounted on chrome castors. The outside of the cabinet features the most stunning teak grain usually reserved for high quality pieces. To the front are a pair of brass handles which have dezincified to go more of a rose gold colour due to the copper coming through. We LOVE the look!
The simple shape means it would be at home with most interior styles.
The price also includes free shipping to most mainland UK locations as standard.
