A mid century compact cabinet which has been comprehensively refurbished, originally made by G Plan as part of their "Fresco" range in the 1970s.
Starting life as a small cabinet on a plinth, this was showing significant signs of wear upon acquision, particularly to the top. We decided it was better in this case to refinish the top and sides in a glossy black finish, and refresh the original teak-fronted drawers which were in comparably good condition. It's been mounted on wooden tapered legs, again finished in black to ensure the vibrant colour of the teak drawers really pops! The legs were measured to ensure that the cabinet would be at typical "sideboard height".
The drawers provide really useful storage. The top drawer features the original felted buffet section, which can be removed upon request although we've retained it as we loved the original purple.
We've transformed this from dull and tired to vibrant and stylish and rescued this from the tip! We can't wait to see it go to its new home.
The price also includes free shipping to most mainland UK locations as standard.
